Writing from the Heart of Crisis is an online container for writing in response to the wild metamorphic times we are living through.

Writing from the Heart of Crisis supports us to metabolise the complexity of crisis, and supports us to find our own unique voice in writing from and through the heart of crisis itself.
It supports us to speak what feels voiceless, to create art that is able to cut through the rhetoric, sound-bites and noise of our world.
Through the written word and through oral tradition, we dive into how language and writing shape our perception of reality. We uncover how our art can uniquely respond with equal parts beauty and truth, tenderness and passion, courage and hope.
This workshop is a doorway for anyone who is in some way meeting and responding to, and being impacted by crisis. Through writing, and speaking to what lives in us in relationship to the world, we are able to metabolise the ways in which we are touched by the world and to find deeper ground, clarity and humanity in times of extreme tension and polarity.
This is the work that ‘Writing from the Heart of Crisia’ invites us into. It is transformatory, soul-inspired, and metamorphic.

COURSE STRUCTURE
Weekly 2hr Zoom Calls - Starting Monday 6th of April for 8 weeks - 6-8 p.m
Over eight weeks, we will dive into key pieces that support us to articulate and bring forth our own original responses to crisis in a way that can move and stir people.

WINDOWS IN THE RUBBLE
Working with the ‘Heart of Crisis’ map of Crisis. We have developed a map of crisis that works with an interlinked web of crisis that aim to reflect the breadth and clarity of the crisis we face. We call this map ‘Windows in the Rubble’.

We work with supporting people to find the courage to articulate their experience of our world, supporting people to write and speak to their own beat.
CRISIS AS OPPORTUNITY
We work with meeting crisis as an opportunity for change, asking and supporting artists to articulate how they can work with crisis as opportunity.

This journey, through poetry and sound, supports us to more fully meet the crisis of our times. Through meeting crisis, the possibility of crisis, and hope for our common future.
STANDING AS EARTH
A vibrational journey into standing for the change you want to see in the world.
We need urgently, to remember how to stand, more fully on our own ground, and as part of common ground, as part of a forest, to as humans to become trunked, branched, rooted, and raised. This journey supports our bodies ability to become a living tree, anchored in the storms of our times.
