Shake The Machine are specifically designed rave rituals. Each ritual uses music, movement, dance, art, spoken word to take participants on a journey, of shaking the machine.
We are each of us, increasingly encoded within the algorithm, the design, the mechanism of the machine.
We are increasingly become the wheels and the nuts and the eyes of the machine.
We have begun to speak in machine speak. Sound-bites roll off our iron tongues.
We have begun to walk in machine walk. We have begun to dance in machine dance.
The sun and moon and stars are lost to the machine.
Enough. We say, enough. We are not to be mechanised. We are not to be automated. We are not to be cogged and used and spat out on the junk pile of machine.
So we gather to shake the machine. So we gather to shake the machine clean from our bodies and the cells of our brains.
So we gather every six weeks to shake, the, machine.
